Marketing and Events Intern

The Wildlife Experience is seeking a Marketing and Events Intern for the coming summer. Position will average approximately 15-20 hours per week. The successful candidate is responsible for assisting in all aspects of marketing for the museum, membership and special events. Duties include data-entry, sales calls, assembling marketing material and other tasks as necessary. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are preferred. Some experience working in marketing, events or non-profit organizations a plus. Also required are strong computer literacy, excellent organizational skills, close attention to detail, follow-through on routine tasks, and the ability to work occasional weekends or evenings. SUMMER INTERNSHIP - Summer Camp Programs (Museum)

The Wildlife Experience is seeking a summer intern for 3 months, 40 hours per week. Schedule is Mon - Fri, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, at a rate of $10 per hour. There are no benefits with this position. The position interacts with museum visitors and groups, and duties include preparation of lessons for Summer Camp attendees, implementing programs for the camps, working with volunteers and staff to create a quality learning experience for museum visitors, cleaning and organizing the classroom, etc. This position requires two years college education, with prior experience in informal science education preferred. SUMMER INTERNSHIP - Public Programs (Museum)

The Wildlife Experience is seeking a summer intern for 3 months, 40 hours per week. Schedule is Wed - Sunday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, at a rate of $10 per hour. There are no benefits with this position. The position interacts with museum visitors and groups, and duties include implementing public programs such as Africa Adventures, Colorado Creatures, Discovery Den, Cubs Corner, etc. The position will help meet groups, give introductions to the museum as needed, assist with programming and Family Fun Day, create crafts for children’s exhibits, help with animal care, and other special event programs. Approximately 6 to 7 hours per day will be spent in the public areas of the museum, interacting with visitors. This position requires 2 years college education, with prior experience in informal science education preferred. Candidates must be outgoing and enjoy interacting with people, particularly children.
