Have a Howl of a Good Time with Wolves at The Wildlife Experience

Contact: Keith Carlson - (720) 488-3331

DENVER -February 21, 2007 - Beginning March 3, The Wildlife Experience will be showing the large-format film, Wolves. The film was produced by the National Wildlife Federation and documents the existence of wolves in the United States and their near destruction.

At a time when the government is considering lifting the protection of gray wolves in a few Northern Rocky Mountain states, this film reestablishes its relevancy and records the success of this iconic animal’s recovery. Wolves gives audiences a look into the reclusive lives of wolves, their pack behavior and an opportune glance back at the plight of the gray wolves struggle to recover from near extinction.

In Wolves, viewers soar over some of North America's most beautiful wilderness, which was once, and is now again, natural habitat to the greatest of North America's predators. But most importantly, Wolves offers hope and inspiration, a look at the good that people can do when they care enough to correct some of the mistakes that threaten the health of the natural world.

The resulting story proves that wolves are making a comeback, which we are seeing today in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and parts of Washington, not only physically through recovery project efforts across the continent, but also in changing attitudes around the planet. Filmed in locations that include: Yellowstone National Park, Montana, Idaho, Alaska and Quebec, Wolves provides viewers with intimate and rarely seen footage of one of North America's greatest predators: Canis lupus.

Wolves will be showing in the Extreme Screen Theater at The Wildlife Experience from March 3 through August 31, 2007. For show times and ticket sales information, visit thewildlifeexperience.org or call 720.488.3300.
