DENVER - February 22, 2006 - Swim with wild dolphins at The Wildlife Experience with its next large-format film. From the award-winning filmmakers of Everest comes the underwater adventure of Dolphins on March 4.

Imagine yourself floating in the crystal-clear blue waters of the Bahamas while the ocean's most graceful and extraordinary creatures swim alongside you. Dolphins offers audiences an opportunity to do what few will ever have the chance to do - swim with wild dolphins. From the dazzling coral reefs of the Bahamas to the wind-swept seas of Patagonia, Dolphins takes viewers under water for an unforgettable experience with inquisitive Atlantic spotted dolphins, acrobatic dusky dolphins and the familiar and lovable bottlenose dolphins.

The film follows a team of marine biologists that is researching the communication of wild dolphins with innovative scientific methods and technology. Through their research, audiences will observe rarely seen fish herding behavior and dolphins' complex communication activities.

Dolphins also explores the dolphin-human bond and the amazing inter-species communication. "The topic has a wonderful appeal to the public; people want to know more about how dolphins communicate," says director and producer Greg MacGillivray. "I wanted to make a film that offered insight into these intelligent marine mammals and that revealed the wonder of their habitat, the ocean, and our need to preserve it."

Dolphins, which is narrated by Pierce Brosnan and features the music of Grammy-award winning artist Sting, is produced and distributed by MacGillivray Freeman Films in association with the National Wildlife Federation, the nation's largest member-supported conservation group, and with major funding by the National Science Foundation and Museum Film Network. Dolphins was nominated for a 2000 Academy AwardŽ for Best Documentary Short Subject.

Dolphins will begin showing in the extreme screen theater at The Wildlife Experience on March 4 and will run through March of 2007. For more information and show times, call (720) 488-3300 or visit thewildlifeexperience.org.
