THE HORSE IN FINE ART is an exhibition organized by The American Academy of Equine Art, Inc., for The Wildlife Experience, and will be on display from January 7 - March 19, 2006. The American Academy of Equine Art, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to establishing a standard of excellence in the field of equine art. The AAEA mission is to broaden public recognition of American equine painting and sculpture through education, demonstrations, exhibitions, critiques and workshops. The Academy mounts annual exhibitions throughout the United States, and produces workshops in drawing, painting, sculpture and equine anatomy for anyone interested in equine art. Taught by professional equine artists, these courses provide a unique opportunity for students to study the horse and equine-related subjects first-hand from live models. Examples of artwork by Academy artist members can be seen on the AAEA website gallery at: www.aaea.net. THE HORSE IN FINE ART is not an open juried exhibition. It is by invitation only. Artwork has been procured from a small number of elite artists to set a high standard for future equine art exhibitions nationwide if not worldwide. To enhance the exhibition, several artists have been invited who are not members of the American Academy of Equine Art, Inc.
