DENVER – December 16, 2004 - Colorado's newest cultural attraction, The Wildlife Experience Museum, hosts a family celebration on the first Saturday of every month. The museum invites visitors of all ages to experience the wonders of the earth's wild places and celebrate our world's diverse cultures and wildlife through an array of fun-filled activities. Family Fun Day features a variety of cultural and educational activities for children of all ages. Activities may include arts and crafts, storytelling, games and wildlife presentations and slideshows. Arts and craft activities, available in the main atrium from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., allow guests to let their imaginations flourish as they design their own wildlife art. At the end of their visit guests will leave with their own wildlife art masterpieces. Kids can leave with a work of art for all to see as a face painter will be available from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. The Retail Gift Shop and the Café offer 10% discounts on Family Fun Day for families to make the most of their adventure at The Wildlife Experience.
In addition to the various art and natural history galleries, several innovative multiple-media exhibits are featured throughout the museum. The largest of these exhibits is the 315-person iWERKS® and DTS digital sound theater where guests are able to view an array of large-format films. The theater is currently showing Roar: Lions of the Kalahari , and Grand Canyon: The Hidden Secrets , and on Family Fun Day a free popcorn is available with the purchase of a drink at the theater concession stand .
