Diversity Reigns in The American Academy of Equine Art Exhibit
at The Wildlife Experience

DENVER-December 18, 2003-The Wildlife Experience is anticipating a wide variety of mediums and artists as it prepares for the arrival the American Academy of Equine Art's exhibit, Equine Spirit. This is the second in a series of ongoing exhibits created for The Wildlife Experience by the American Academy of Equine Art.

Diversity describes this exhibit best, as it will be comprised of sculptures, oil and acrylic paintings, etchings and sketches from artists across the nation. Many of the artists have their work displayed in public and private collections around the globe. Veryl Goodnight, a sculptor who was raised near Denver, Colorado, has sculptures displayed throughout the United States, Europe and Japan. Goodnight's sculpture, Back from the Brink, is a part of a permanent exhibit by the same title at The Wildlife Experience.

From the list of artists whose work will be included in Equine Spirit, many have won major awards and have had their work published in a variety of journals and publications. Kathleen M. Friedenberg, Vice-President and Director of Exhibitions for the American Academy of Equine Art, has won the Academy's "Award of Excellence" consecutively for three years. Michael Nevin, a signature member of the American Watercolor Society, has work featured in The Acrylic Painter's Book of Styles and Techniques. Andrea Harman Steiner, who has work displayed across the U.S., Canada and Italy, has had her work featured on the covers of The Chronicle of the Horse and Polo and Equine Vision magazines.

The American Academy of Equine Art's Equine Spirit promises to be an opportunity to view art from award-winning artists and leaders within their field of work. With such an array of mediums and a wide assortment of artists, Equine Spirit truly exudes diversity within a very specified segment of wildlife art. Equine Spirit opens at The Wildlife Experience on January 10, 2004 and will be on display until March 21, 2004.
